simple and effective exercises for varicose veins veins are blood vessels which carry the blood from the periphery to the heart varicose veins is a condition in which there is pooling of blood in these veins because of which they bulge out and give a bluish discoloration As soon as you get diagnosed with varicose veins you should start its treatment because it may progress to ulcers and eventually lead to rupture of veins and oozing of blood there are various causes of varicose veins out of which the commonest is long standing which means standing and working for a long period for example, Housewives they have to stand the entire day while working in kitchen
so its very common in them secondly, its seen in Traffic policemen Also seen in teachers since they have to stand and teach for hours together now lets move to the exercises and in the end, i will share few important tips which are important in preventing varicose veins and if you already have it then you can cure it for the first exercise, bend one knee and raise the other leg up to the level of the bent knee foot bent towards you hold this position for 5 counts and then slowly bring your leg down repeat this for 10 times on each side In this, keep 3 to 4 pillow under your legs Remember, your legs should be above the heart level so that the blood can flow to the heart easily Now, move your ankles up and down like this
Do it for 10 to 15 repetitions In this exercise, you need to lie on your back and imitate cycling bend both knees and raise them up now start cycling,
one leg bent and other straight do this for 10 to 15 repetitions for this exercise you need to take wall support and raise your heels like this this exercise works on the calf muscles which helps in effective pumping of the blood to the heart Repeat for 10 to 15 times Here is the starting position for this exercise you have to lie on your back with legs up on the wall this is the side view this position is important for effective movement of the blood from the legs to the heart maintain this position for 1 or 2 minutes And practice this at the end of the day after all your work is over now lets move to few important tips Firstly, avoid prolonged standing if your work involves lot of standing take breaks in between and sit whenever possible like stand..then sit..again stand.. This will prevent pressure on the legs and also prevent pooling of blood secondly, drink enough water
This will help in maintaining good blood circulation and thus prevent varicose veins Third... lose weight if you are over weight or obese then you need to lose weight You can combine dieting with exercises Fourth...practice all the exercises that i have just demonstrated It will definitely help in reducing varicose veins Fifth...compression stockings or socks There are many varieties available in the market these are a kind of socks which help in effective pumping of calf muscles thereby improving blood flow from the legs to the heart lastly, keep 2-3 pillows under your legs while sleeping at night so that your legs are at a level above the heart level and the pooled blood can reach the heart easily.
